Day 6 Today I Will Praise You For Your Amazing Grace!



I love the song. Amazing grace how sweet the sound! It’s one of the few hymns from back in the day that speaks to me. The photo above is of me and my aunt. Whenever I hear and old hymn I think of her. She taught my family so much about God's grace. 

So many time I felt lost and alone, and so not worth Gods Grace. But yet he loved me anyway!

The fact that he was willing to sacrifice his life on my behalf! That completely blows my mind. As many times as I have heard it I still don’t understand it but I’m grateful!!

Do you find it hard to accept Gods Grace? If you think about the fact that Grace means Gods unmerited favor! That pretty much sums it up. God already knew we didn’t deserve his grace and love but he loves us anyway! Despite ourselves!

That should be reason enough to praise him!

It’s definitely reason enough to thank him!!

I am a people pleaser by nature. I want everyone to be happy. Sometimes at the detriment of myself. What I should have been concentrating on was pleasing God. But even when I don’t get it right ...he still loves me.

If you think about it, God has had so many reasons to just wipe us all out and start all over from scratch like he did during the days of Noah. Or he could have just given up and said I am better off by myself. I mean it’s not like he needs us. We need him!! Aren’t you thankful that he hasn’t given up on you?

So when did you accept Gods Grace? Imagine yourself in the shoes of the thief on the cross. Can you imagine what it felt like to know that Jesus forgave you and promised you a place in paradise with him after all that he had done wrong? Well guess what? He has a place for you and me in paradise! We just have to accept his love. And please don’t forget to thank him and praise him for extending that grace to you!! That is the easy part. The hard part will be extending that same grace to others. But that is exactly what God expects us to do.

Day 3 Today I Will Follow Jesus Man this one hit home for me. Because I feel like I’ve been dealing with some tough stuff for the last few years and I almost let those things pull me away from God. Good Morning Lord Day 17

Good morning Lord Day: Today I will, by your grace, be aware, of when I’m tempted to take the easy out or take a situation into my own hands and, by either, turn away from you. Page 40 What happens when we take matters into our own hands? I can’t speak for you but I know for me that when I try to do it all on my own I stumble and fall every time. I have been trying to be more intentional about seeking God out before making big decisions but I will admit I still struggle with including him in the day to day! Anyone else have this issue? A great way to nip that in the bud is starting out the day asking for Gods guidance. Reading your devotional (even if you are way ahead of the host lol). Repeat after me: when I take things into my own hands I lose the opportunity to allow God to work in my behalf. Good Morning Lord Day 14

Day 14 Today I will savor the fact that I am your daughter, a princess in the family of the King of kings! Page 32 I see a theme forming from this devotional! As I read today’s lesson I kept hearing...you are fearfully and wonderfully made! What each of the ladies in the Bible have in common (other than the fact they are woman) is the fact that they had struggles, hard times, fears, and dreams just as we all do. But in the end they did not let those struggles keep them down. For anyone who says that woman are not an important part of the Bible or that they are portrayed as less then, must not have got the message I get from this passage.
